2010 – Escapade autour du Mont Blanc du 30 juillet au 1er août (MGCF)

18 équipages s’étaient donné rendez vous à Saint Pierre de Faucigny, près d’Annecy pour une escapade de 3 jours autour du Mont Blanc, à travers la Suisse, l’Italie et la Savoie.

Motivés, certains participants arrivèrent en convoi de la riante Alsace, dont une superbe MGA prune, restaurée par Monsieur et conduite par Madame.
D’autres durent, bon gré mal gré, suivre le rouge convoi des 12 camions du cirque Zavatta en tournée dans la Région au volant de leur Twin Cam, rouge aussi.

2010 – Les 55 ans de la MG A les 17 et 18 septembre (MGCF)

Vendredi 17 septembre
Bien que le coup d’envoi de l’anniversaire des 55 ans de la A soit prévu le lendemain, beaucoup d’amis du club sont déjà présents en ce vendredi 17 Septembre pour « anticiper » la fête.
Le parking de l’hôtel Campanile de Guéret est ainsi largement bondé avec les 35 MG A et les MG B, TD, MG modernes F et TF.

MG Car Club : MG80! event attracts an estimated 25,000 participants

The worldwide festivities to commemorate the MG Car Club’s 80th Birthday have now officially concluded and over 100 MG clubs from 24 different countries took part in the MG80! celebration in which an estimated 25,000 people participated – the MG Car Club reckons that the event was probably the largest ever global MG gathering to date.

The International MG Show : Promoters announce date for 2011 event

Live Promotions Events Limited, the company behind the Race Retro Historic Motorsport Show, has just announced that next year’s International MG Show and Spares Day will be held at Warwickshire’s Stoneleigh Park on Sunday 20th February, 2011. The company says that the event will be the ideal start to a classic year and brings together all that is best about the small sports car maker that developed a global fan base.
