The 68-69 USA spec steering wheel and column splines are differnt than the 62-67 MGB column.
The UK and rest of the world models that still used the old dash used the spline configuration and a similar column that would accomidate the the older style steering wheel. However, it is almost impossible to use an 1962 to 1966 MGB steering column in a "C". Although I have have seen one "C" with such a column. While the UK version of the "C" retained the same spine configuration and diamater of the the MGB column, the overall steering column on the "C" is longer and thicker than that of a "B".
1968-1969-the really oddball size threads/spline pattern make this column unique
