Décès de Cecil Kimber le 4 février 1945 : Il y a tout juste 70 ans, le 4 février 1945 disparaissait dans un accident de chemin de fer Cecil Kimber. Il était âgé de 56 ans et avait été remercié de chez MG en 1941.
Il était 18 h ce dimanche 4 février quand démarra le train à destination de Leeds. De nouveaux rails avaient été posés dans le Glaswork tunnel ce qui fit glisser le train entraînant le déraillement du dernier wagon, dans lequel se trouvait Cecil Kimber. Cet accident fit 2 morts et plusieurs blessés.
Le club se devait de commémorer cet anniversaire.
